England, 15 August 2001 Dear Ann, I arrived in London last night and your friend Paul met me at the airport. I'm glad he was there because I don't think I should ever have found my hotel alone. Although I haven't seen much yet, I think I'm going to enjoy myself here. Last night Paul and I went for a 'short walk. I had never imagined London was quite so big.
